Sip & Sonder

I kind of got ignored when I walked up to the counter. With goof customer service, u easily say, "Be right with you" or even, "hi" ... but when you stand there for a few minutes and they act as if you are not there... well, that can use some work. 2nd disappointment to me was it said no cash. That drives me nuts. I am cash only.. so I was about to walk out, but the gentleman finally took my order. A girl clocked in and asked to pay me out, but asked if I was cash or credit. So I used cash. I asked if it was credit only, and she said they usually don't keep change, but if I had exact change, it was fine. So I was cool with that. They had enough change to break a 5 after I paid 15 for my 2 drinks and didn't want my change. But I got to tip, which if I get a service I always do. I'd like to give this place a better review, but sadly, it lacked. Maybe I'll try again. I skipped like 4 Starbucks to try to support the small guy. That's how I roll. So they deserve 3, and hopefully, they will get 5 stars when I return 1 day.

During a recent trip back to my hometown of Inglewood, CA, I was delighted to stumble upon Sip & Sonder, a charming and cozy coffee shop in the heart of downtown. As a black-owned business, it felt special to support a local establishment contributing positively to the community. From the moment I walked in, the ambiance of Sip & Sonder enveloped me in warmth and comfort. The shop has a uniquely inviting atmosphere, with decor that makes it the perfect spot for both relaxation and productivity. What really stood out was their excellent taste in music, creating a background ambiance that was both energizing and soothing. The highlight of my visit was undoubtedly the caramel latte. It was expertly crafted, with the perfect balance of rich coffee and sweet caramel, making every sip a delightful experience. Alongside the latte, I indulged in a variety of their baked goods. Each item was a delightful treat, fresh, flavorful, and perfectly satisfying my sweet tooth. Sip & Sonder is not just a coffee shop; it’s a wonderful experience that combines great flavors, a welcoming atmosphere, and a sense of community. It’s a must-visit spot for anyone in or visiting Inglewood, and I look forward to my next visit to enjoy more of their delicious offerings.

I'm currently staying with a buddy in the area and was encouraged to check this place out for some morning coffee. First and foremost, it's a black owned business, so I was already a fan from the start. When you walk in, there's a smooth comfortable feeling you get. The music is soulful and the staff are pleasant. There's plenty of seating spaces. The best part about this cafe are the prices. I ordered a pour over coffee which only cost me $3.50 plus tip (you should always tip 😄) Coming from the Bay Area, this was amazing. Finally, they brew their own coffee and the coffee itself tasted rather calming. It wasn't harsh and had a refreshing twist on it. All in all I really enjoyed my experience.

Ambiance: This place is a lot bigger than i assumed just by judging from the outside. But inside is open with a great amount of seating both inside and out, which I loved. Seems like a good place to get some work done on a weekend, no obnoxious music blasting over the speaker... Service: When there are too many options, I have a lot of questions. The people behind the counter were so good, helping weigh the pros and cons of my snack and drink choice. Not just the cashier, but everyone helped me. Lol Food: I got the Iced Chai Latte with the chocolate chip cookie. They were both really good! Chai was silky and light. The cookie was warm and gooey. I have no complaints at all.
